Chicago Innovation Awards Finalists Include Clean Energy Trust
September 7, 2012 07:29 PM
Joyce Foundation grantee Clean Energy Trust is a finalist for this year’s Chicago Innovation Awards. These awards, celebrating their 11th year, honor the most original new products or services brought to market or to public service in the Chicago region. This year almost 400 nominations were submitted.
Clean Energy Trust was nominated for a pair of related initiatives it operates to support emerging cleantech companies. The first is the online Clean Energy Exchange, which links energy efficiency, renewable energy, and related firms with one another and potential customers or investors. The second is the Clean Energy Challenge, a business plan competition to identify the most promising cleantech start-ups in our region.
This year 13 judges, representing a range of Chicago’s business community, will select the winners of the Chicago Innovation Awards. In addition, all of the finalists are in the running for a People’s Choice Award, selected through online balloting. If you would like to cast a vote for Clean Energy Trust, or any of the other finalists, please visit Chicago Innovation Awards.
