Career Pathways Explained

A strategy to help Americans learn job skills and get our economy back on track.

At Joyce, we work to help adults learn the skills they need to get better-paying jobs and to begin careers in growing industries. Career pathways are a critical component to this work. But, we’re often asked “what’s a career pathway?”

We partnered with CLASP to answer that question.

After successful career pathway pilots took hold across the country, the US Congress passed and President Obama signed the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which promotes the creates the use of career pathway programs in adult education and provides funding to reach more adults who are underprepared for the workforce.
