A Fresh Look for the Joyce Foundation

9/22/2016

Welcome to the Joyce Foundation’s new website. I invite you to take a few minutes to look around, and hope you find the content useful, engaging and informative.

The Joyce Foundation believes communities are stronger when sharing benefits broadly among their people, and we support that belief by investing in areas where we can improve quality of life, promote community vitality and achieve a fair society. We are proud to present this new communications hub, which we hope will be an effective tool to report on the great work of our grantees to advance these goals, to help prospective grantees understand our program strategies and apply for funding, and to encourage all visitors to learn more about our issues.

A few guideposts for your visit:

  • Many of you visit our site to learn about the kind of projects we fund, whether your project lines up with our priorities, and how to apply for a grant. We want to be as helpful as possible about that process and help you prepare a strong grant application. You can also learn about recent Joyce grants by exploring our new grants database
  • Another key objective is to explain what we care about, why we think it is important, and the values that drive program strategies and projects. Each of our program sections describes challenges we are addressing and solutions we are advancing. Explore them here: Culture, Democracy, Education, Employment, Environment and Gun Violence Prevention.
  • We will share the latest about the excellent work our grantees are doing in research, policy development, and advocacy – and bring those stories to life through photos, images and data. Click here for insights into Joyce programs and issues from our grantees, leadership, and program staff.

This will be a dynamic site, with frequent reports on project outcomes as well as new initiatives with partners in research, advocacy, government, and philanthropy. So we hope you will visit again.

We welcome your thoughts on our new website, along with ideas about what you might like to see in the future. Please share your comments by emailing us at info@joycefdn.org.

Thank you for your interest in the Joyce Foundation.
