Ala Alkhatib

Ala oversees the Foundation’s digital and web operations, collaborating on overall media and communications strategy. She coordinates social media content with Joyce’s management and program leadership, manages webinars and other public engagement tools, and oversees the Foundation’s website design and functions.

She began working in the nonprofit sector in 2011. Prior to joining the Foundation, she managed communications and marketing at the Citizen Advocacy Center, a community organization dedicated to democracy building, where she oversaw social media and website design. She also has worked for a private brand management agency.

Ala studied journalism at the College of DuPage. She believes that every community is strengthened by civic engagement, the essence of our democracy.
