Tu Dance Center Featured On PBS NewsHour

Programs to develop new work, engage new audiences and support artists of color featured in PBS coverage of 2010 Joyce Award winner Uri Sands' dance company and school.


Uri Sands, co-founder of Tu Dance Center, received a 2010 Joyce Award to create a new dance work inspired by the paintings of African American artist Ernie Barnes. He developed the new work with St. Paul’s Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. He and his wife and Tu Dance co-founder were featured on a recent episode of PBS NewsHour.
