We are now accepting applications for the 2024 Joyce Awards the only regional program dedicated to supporting artists of color in major Great Lakes cities. This year, we are pleased to announce an increased award amount of $100,000 each, with $30,000 required to go directly to the commissioned artist(s) as a stipend. Aligning with the 20th anniversary of the Joyce Awards, the increased award supports an artist and commissioning organization in the creation and production of a new work developed in collaboration with communities in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and/or Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for the next Joyce Awards will be accepted until September 11, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. CDT, with awardees notified by May 2024. Registration of new organizational applicants is due one week prior, by September 6, 2023.

Interested in applying? Register for our Joyce Awards Information Session on Thursday, August 3, 12:00-1:00 p.m. CDT to learn more about the awards program and application process.

For questions about the awards program, please contact us at [email protected].

Help us spread the word about the Joyce Awards, and the webinar, to artists of color, arts organizations and community-based organizations in your networks!
