Prima Soemijantoro Wilson

Prima supports the Foundation's President and CEO and serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors, having been a member of the Foundation’s Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Investment Officer’s teams previously.

Prior to joining the Joyce Foundation, Prima worked for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, supporting the Chief Program Officer; and before that, she was with Rush University’s President’s office and Loyola University of Chicago’s Advancement Office. Born and raised as a Catholic in Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, she served over two decades in Catholic higher education at three Jesuit universities. Most of that time was in board relations as a member of Fordham University’s senior leadership team, primarily as secretary to the Board of Trustees Committee on Advancement and University Relations. A seasoned administrator and project manager, she has also worked for private and non-profit organizations in Indonesia and the U.S. Prima relocated to Chicago in 2018, where she lives a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan with her husband and teenage son. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston College and a Master’s in Business Administration from Simmons University.
